One project
This project I worked on for a couple and they ended up stiffing me for the design fees. The reason was the furniture prices seemed too high for them. But still I provided design work for them and they told me they wouldn't pay them. Bastages. Thus the reason hubby wrote up a contract for me. No more will I have people get work from me without compensation.

Don't feel to bad about getting stiffed A -- when I first started my business I did a lot of commercial work, before I strictly went residential. I once got stiffed for $35,000 from a developer for an office complex. NOW THAT HURTS! Never made that mistake again... EVER! Airtight contracts and deposits up front! A mechanics lien is a contractor's best friend!
BTW that developer got arrested a couple of years later for hiring illegal aliens and not paying them... they threw the book at him... BASTAGE!

EEekkk.. that sounds painful! Yes, contract and liens. Hubby says mine would be an artisan lien. See.... I knew putting him through law school would serve a purpose. LOL
Milk... yes filthy fargin bastages! They LOVED the room and I think they made copies of the designs and made the room just like this so I was royally screwed. They already had the white sofa :O and with kids. Not my problem. LOL. Like I said, the tables and other furniture was double the cost so it was hundreds more than other stores and they reemed me out and F'ed me over. *rolls eyes* No more!
