Today's weather was a fun mix of sunshine and then snow squals. The snow flakes were of the huge, fluffy variety and it was beautiful. A lovely break from the damp and dreary rain.
Before my son's bus arrived the sun disappeared behind a cloud filled with snow. These are some pics from just before I walked out the door. I had to throw down the first salt of the year (but it still only needed a broom to clear it.) We only have about an inch but it's very cold (not as cold as Dramamama's area in Chicago but cold.)
BTW.... these were taken around 3:20 pm in the afternoon!!
Finding the slices of heaven.

Glad you got some "white stuff" to brighten your day, LMAO! Sorry! Looks soooo pretty!
No snow in Joisey yet. I think I should start planting palm trees.
Send me a snow ball to throw at Co-Worker Dan!
I WANT MORE OF THAT! It looks SOOOO beautiful! I want more snow! That is probably what hit us on Monday.
Long Island Dad... Stop that laughing. We are okay with it. We get that lovely lake effect snow. Just wait until you get yours....*wink* It was pretty actually. (smart butt)
TW... Are you happy about not having snow or unhappy?
Lioux... I will if CW-D emails me a pic. *wink* hee hee.
Wow - pretty! And we've been griping about it being in the 50's here in Phoenix. :) I'll take the desert for now, although, in July I know I'll be singing a different tune!
My future ex-husband Lioux just turned me on to your blog!
We don't ever get any snow here in L.A.
Dramamama... I missed you babe!! I guess the snow was part of the ice storm system? I'm not sure. No more snow here today. Just freezing cold.
Working gal.... once we get a beautiful storm (where the snow clings to the trees and it looks picturesque) I'll post more. The actual snowfall was more beautiful than the photos are showing.
It' has gotten up to 23 degrees (it was 18 this morning) so 50's would be freakin' hot! LOL.
George Clooney!!?? *gasp* *star struck* btw... make sure you forward me the wedding AND divorce registry. hee hee
Good for you. we got the dustiest of dustings yesterday and now it is all gone.
dustiests of dustings? Now that is a skant amount. LOL. The question is FL, do you WANT snow?
Well, I want snow!! We dont get enough in Atlanta... I have been looking forward to it all season, and the first week I decide to drive locally , what happens... IT SNOWS... but not locally!
We had a Texas blizzard this week. 1/16th an inch of snow. Covering and inch and a half of solid ice.
Big fun. If you happen to own an auto body shop.
Or if you love being stuck at home for 3 extra days with a spouse with a serious case of cabin fever.
Terry.... sorry you want snow but are in Atlanta. I can't ship it to you but I can post pics as it happens. When we get a real big one you're welcome to come up and help me shovel the 1800 sq. ft. drive way I get to shovel. LOL
Mike... yikes! Ice! No thank you. You have my sympathies on both the ice and the captive spouse in the house (hey I'm Dr. Seus!) *note to self, if I move to Texas, open a body shop*
